What is the Oera Linda book?

The Oera Linda Book is an ancient manuscript that was discovered in the Netherlands in the 19th century. It is allegedly several thousand years old. The book tells of the destruction of Atland (Atlantis) in 2194 BC, and the subsequent history of the Frisian people. British publisher Trubner and Co released the book in the year 1876. The Oera Linda book was forgotten until 1977, when ancient mysteries writer Robert Scrutton took it upon himself to write a lengthy commentary and introduction for an abridged edition of the Oera Linda Book. Entitled The Other Atlantis, it was an instant bestseller.
