Germany breaks Guinness world record: Largest parade of pickup trucks

Berlin, Germany – November 14, 2016 – A total of 1,152 Ram trucks drove along the Nürburgring; the parade included Ram trucks from 1994 to present models, from highly modified to nearly stock models, thus setting the new world record for the Largest parade of pickup trucks.

Photo: Ram pickup owners from all around Europe met up at Germany’s Nurburgring to break the record of ”Largest Parade of Ram Trucks’. Over 1,000 Rams showed up (1,152 to be exact) and lapped the 15.2 Nordschleife, breaking the old Guinness record of 638 set in Mexico in July of last year. 

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest parade of food trucks numbered 121 vehicles and was achieved by Generation Food Truck (USA) at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida, USA, on 29 March 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest parade of tow trucks; it consisted of 324 tow trucks and was organized by Worldwide Equipment Sales Tow Trucks for Tots (USA). The trucks participated in a parade from Joliet to Bridgeview, Illinois, USA, on 13 November 2011.

In April 2015, 451 Ram trucks descended on Arlington, Texas to break the world record. Just three months later in July, 638 pre-1985 pickups paraded through the streets of Saltillo, Mexico.

Organized by AutoGlobalTrade AG, the event featured 1,152 owners – with rare vehicles on the lot such as examples from the first- and second- generation Rams.
