As for desserts, ice cream is the best dessert that a kid can indulge in. With this article, we bring you the recipe of preparing faluda ice cream. A typical traditional delicacy, faluda ice cream is a tasty delicacy to gorge on. Read on to know the recipe of preparing the same.

How To Make Falooda Ice Cream

Recipe 1

Ingredients

  • 1 liter Milk
  • Sugar (to taste)
  • ½ can Condensed Milk
  • 1-2 tsp Rose Syrup
  • 1 tbsp Vermicelli
  • Dry Fruits (as required)

Method

  • Pour milk in a medium saucepan and boil for about 7 to 8 minutes.
  • Add condensed milk and sugar. Boil the mixture again.
  • Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool for sometime.
  • Add rose syrup and dry fruits. Stir.
  • Pour the mixture into a closed container and deep freeze it. Make sure that the mixture is frozen but not very hard.
  • Boil water in a separate pan and add vermicelli.
  • Continue boiling till the vermicelli gets soft.
  • Drain the vermicelli and set aside for cooling.
  • Serve ice cream with cooled vermicelli.

Recipe 2

Ingredients

  • 1 liter Milk
  • ½ cup Cream
  • 200 ml Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 2 tbsp Falooda Seeds
  • 1 packet Rose Syrup
  • 2 tsp Rose Essence
  • ½ cup Almonds and Pistachios (chopped)
  • 1 cup Falooda Sev/ Vermicelli

Method

  • Pour milk in a medium saucepan and simmer on low flame.
  • Stir continuously and cook till the milk condenses.
  • Add rose essence and remove the pan from fire. Cool.
  • Boil water in a separate pan and add vermicelli.
  • Simmer the water for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Drain the vermicelli and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
  • Soak falooda seeds in water for about 2 to 3 hours.
  • Prepare the rose syrup according to the instructions given on the packet.
  • Take a tall sundae glass and pour a spoonful of rose syrup.
  • Add a few strands of vermicelli and a dollop of falooda seeds.
  • Add in a cup of sweetened milk.
  • Put in a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Top with cream and chopped dry fruits.
