England football team were seen playing kabaddi during their training session ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2018

02/06/2018 – The FIFA World Cup 2018 is beginning in two weeks’ time in Russia and the England football team stars are trying their best to stay fit and keep their minds relaxed.

Recently, some of the members of the team were seen playing a game of kabaddi during their training session. Kabaddi caught the interest of sports lovers from across the world after the beginning of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in India and England football stars seem to have taken a fancy to the traditional sport.

The video showed Jamie Vardy, along with midfielders Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones, acting as raiders (or attackers) while Raheem Sterling, Danny Rose and Ashley Young played the role of defenders.

England, who won their only FIFA World Cup title way back in 1966, failed to qualify for the Round of 16 in the 2014 edition in Brazil. This time, they are clubbed with Tunisia, Belgium and Panama in Group G. The Three Lions will begin their campaign against Tunisia on June 18 in Volgograd.

As many as 32 teams from around the world are vying for honours in the 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup beginning on June 14 in Russia. The teams have been split into eight groups with each group comprising four teams. Top two teams from each group will qualify for the round of 16. The final of the tournament will be played on July 15.
