Photo: Employees from Majid Al Futtaim – the shopping mall, retail and leisure giant across the Middle East and North Africa – painted the 930 wooden blocks in four hours.
The Guinness World Records world record for the e largest glass bottle mosaic consists of 7,420 bottles and was achieved by HOMEX Co., Ltd (Japan) at Toyota Ecoful Town, in Toyota, Aichi, Japan, on 31 August 2014.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest towel mosaic; it measures 3,063.76 m² (32977.91 ft²) and was created by Imabari Maritime City Promotion Committee and Shikoku Towel Industrial Association (both Japan) at Shimanami Earth Land, in Imabari, Ehime, Japan, on 23 May 2015.
More than 1,000 employees, family and friends joined together to paint 930 wooden blocks which were used to create the 45.5 sqm golden ‘M’, made famous in Majid Al Futtaim’s logo. The blocks were painted within four hours to ensure that the logo was completed and the company now has its place in the history books.
