Silk Screen Paints – To get the best results in your printing, you must, of course, use suitable paints. Use only the specially prepared paints that are sold in paste form for silk screen painting.
These are oil based and need to be mixed with thinners before use. Use prepared thinners made of mineral spirits, the proportion being one of thinners to two of paint.
This mixture must be well stirred so that all lumps are smoothed out and the paint has a creamy thickness. A certain amount of trial is necessary in the mixing; should it be too thin, add a little more paint. If the paint is thick, a quantity of thinners will make this right.
