Review:
A story, originated by Kapil Sahitya and co-written by Viraf Patell, Deep Vaidya and Chetan Daiya, Shubhchintak is a powerful script with a strong message. Director Nisarg Vaidya has done a commendable job of bringing out the striking performances from the cast. The special effects are neatly given and the background score and music by Manoj Krishna gives perfect thrilling vibe to the dramatic sequences.
As for performances, Manasi Parekh is seen in a different impressive avatar and delivers a strong performance. Marathi superstar Swwapnil Joshi aces his character as Inspector Vishwas and enters Gujarati film industry with a bang. Tusharika Rajyaguru as Tamanna, Viraf Patell as Sanjay and Mehul Buch as Dhananjay justify their complex roles in an effortless manner. Deep Vaidya as Jignesh provides the much-needed comic relief throughout the film. You would be in awe of Morli Patel in a character of a fierceful mother.
While the premise (revenge) isn’t entirely new, impressive execution makes Shubhchintak stand out. A genre not attempted often in Gujarati cinema, the film is full of drama and nail-biting sequences. The film leaves you with a surprising twist around the interval and picks up with a bang in the second half.
If you are looking for a striking experiment in Gujarati film industry with a strong message and performances, then Shubhchintak is perfect for your watchlist.
