How did a falling apple help in advance cosmology?

An English scientist Isaac Newton born in 1642 made the next significant discovery. Newton introduced the theories of gravity and mass, and explained how they are responsible for an apple’s falling to the ground, for the motion of the moon around the earth and for the motion of the planets around the sun.
