On late Veeru Devgan Ji’s birth anniversary, we are bringing back our OG action star, Ajay Devgn, in an action entertainer built for the big screen Jio Studios presents A Colour Yellow production CHAUHAAN In cinemas on 1st October, 2027.
Ajay Devgn will be seen next in the actioner, Chauhaan, the makers announced on Thursday (June 25, 2026) by unveiling the first look from the film. It will be released in theatres on October 1, 2027.
The teaser opens with a voice over of Ajay as visuals show an instance of stone pelting in Kashmir. Ajay’s voiceover explains how the use of tear gas, water canon and pellet guns proved ineffective against the stone pelters. He vows to change that as later he is seen entering a procession with a trolley speaker, playing ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ song from Amitabh Bachchan’s Hum (1991). He is seen throwing away his gun and getting ready to engage with the group of stone pelters, wearing a face mask with skull design.
The makers unveiled the first look on the occasion of Ajay’s father, stunt director Veeru Devgan’s birth anniversary today. Sharing the first look, they wrote, “On late Veeru Devgan Ji’s birth anniversary, we are bringing back our OG action star, Ajay Devgn, in an action entertainer built for the big screen.”

Ajay was last seen in De De Pyaar De 2 (2025). He will be seen next in Dhamaal 4, which will be released in theatres on July 10. He also has Drishyam 3 lined up for release later this year.
