Vrusshabha: Movie Overview
Vrusshabha is an upcoming Indian epic action-drama film written and directed by Nanda Kishore. It stars Mohanlal in the lead role, alongside Roshan Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, Zahrah S. Khan, Srikanth Meka, and Ragini Dwivedi. The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, CK Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abhishek Vyas, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures, Connekkt Media, and AVS Studios.
The film is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Malayalam and will be released in five languages. It is scheduled for theatrical release on 25 December, 2025, coinciding with Christmas.
Principal photography began in 2023 and wrapped up in early 2025. The film was shot across multiple locations, including India and the UK, with its final schedule completed in Mumbai. A cake-cutting ceremony was held to mark the completion of the shoot.
The first look poster of Vrusshabha was unveiled on 21 May 2025, on the occasion of Mohanlal’s 65th birthday. It featured Mohanlal in a fierce warrior avatar, generating mixed reactions from audience. The motion poster features him in majestic armour, hands folded in reverence, with the tagline: “Reborn love: A love so strong, it defies death.”
The film is slated for release on 25 December, 2025 during the Christmas festival. It will be released in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages.
