Story:

Kishkindhapuri follows a group of enthusiasts on a ghost-walking tour that takes a chilling turn when they enter the premises of an abandoned radio station—where, unbeknownst to them, lies a dormant spirit. Their intrusion awakens the entity, and what begins as playful exploration soon spirals into a terrifying experience, forcing them to uncover the dark secrets of the place.

Review:

The Koushik Pegallapati directorial attempts to blend horror and emotion, succeeding at times but stumbling at others. The film begins on a strong note, touching upon mythology that gives the story an extra layer of mystery. The first half works best, offering a gripping setup and well-timed horror moments. Chaitan Bharadwaj’s background score adds to the tension while crisp editing keeps the pace tight. The jump scares are placed effectively, and the overall atmosphere in the early half keeps the audience hooked.

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is sincere as Raghava, playing the role with conviction. He does well in the first half when the horror dominates, but as the film moves into more emotional territory in the second half, his performance is not as strong. Anupama Parameswaran, however, makes a strong impact as Mythili. Even when the pace slows, her presence is felt throughout. The supporting cast also adds value—Prema and Tanikella Bharani leave a mark in their short appearances, while Hyper Aadi plays his part convincingly.

The first half remains the film’s biggest strength, with proper horror, suspense, and engaging storytelling. Still, the romantic song interrupts the flow and feels unnecessary. That time could have been used to better show the bond between the lead pair. The second half struggles in comparison. Some scenes feel rushed and appear without proper buildup, making the emotions harder to connect with. While the film tries to add depth through drama, the emotional moments often feel flat. The climax is further weakened by poor VFX, which takes away from the impact of the final sequences.

Even with these flaws, the film manages to hold interest through surprising twists and strong performances. The balance between horror and emotion is uneven, but the engaging first half and solid acting keep it watchable. Overall, it is a decent attempt that delivers on suspense and performances but falls short with its emotional depth, pacing, and technical execution.
