The film’s soundtrack was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, written by Irshad Kamil while the background score is composed by Ketan Sodha. The song “Chor Bazaari Phir Se” from the 2009 film Love Aaj Kal, sung by Neeraj Shridhar and Sunidhi Chauhan is recreated for the film.
The song “Waalian” by Harnoor is recreated for the film and the song was titled “Koi Na” was released on 16 April 2025. Originally lyrics written by Gifty.

Rajkummar Rao & Wamiqa Gabbi Shine In This Light-Hearted, Family-Friendly, Time-Loop Comedy
Story:
In Bhool Chuk Maaf, Ranjan (Rajkummar Rao), a sincere but struggling young man, is determined to land a government job to win the approval of his girlfriend Titli’s (Wamiqa Gabbi) family and secure their marriage.
In a desperate bid, he turns to the dubious Bhagwan Das (Sanjay Mishra) for help. Against all odds, Ranjan lands the job and the wedding preparations commence. But just as things seem to fall into place, Ranjan finds himself trapped in a strange time loop, reliving the day of his Haldi ceremony, the 29th, again and again. As the 30th refuses to arrive, Ranjan must unravel the mystery behind the loop to reclaim his future and finally marry Titli.
Review:
If you’re in the mood for some clean laughs and small-town charm wrapped in a time-travel twist, Bhool Chuk Maaf delivers a decent weekend watch. Directed by Karan Sharma, the film strikes a mostly enjoyable balance between quirky humour and heartfelt moments, even if it stumbles slightly in the later acts.
Right from the start, Sharma does a fine job of capturing the small-town vibe. The banter between characters feels organic and the humour, while not always pitch-perfect, lands more often than not.
Bhool Chuk Maaf is engaging for the most part. The first half breezes by with a good mix of humour and quirky situations and is funny till the time loop is established.
However, once the novelty of the time loop wears off, the film starts to lose some of its earlier momentum. The second half feels stretched in places, with certain sequences starting to feel repetitive. There’s a sense that the script is circling familiar ground instead of deepening the concept or pushing it in new, unexpected directions. While the time loop device offers ample room for experimentation and clever storytelling, the film plays it a bit safe.
The third act, in particular, gets weighed down by a heavy-handed moral message that feels somewhat at odds with the light-hearted tone set earlier. What starts as a breezy comedy slowly shifts into a more preachy and emotionally dense conclusion. The message isn’t necessarily out of place, but the way it’s delivered lacks subtlety.
However, Rajkummar Rao once again proves why he’s one of the most dependable actors in the industry today. His impeccable comic timing and effortless portrayal of a small-town every man ground the film. Wamiqa Gabbi, as his fiery love interest, brings both charm and spunk to the table. Their chemistry works quite well.
Veteran actors Seema Pahwa and Raghubir Yadav are a riot as the bickering parents. Sanjay Mishra, although seen briefly, makes a strong comic impact with his signature deadpan delivery.
Despite a few bumps along the way, Bhool Chuk Maaf manages to stay afloat thanks to its clean humour, relatable characters, and breezy storytelling.
Bhool Chuk Maaf might not break new ground, but it offers a wholesome, feel-good experience that’s perfect for a family movie night. With a solid ensemble cast, light comedy, and a warm-hearted core, it ticks the right boxes for a weekend entertainer.
