Project Hail Mary is an upcoming American science fiction adventure film produced and directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from a screenplay by Drew Goddard, based on the 2021 novel of the same name by Andy Weir. It is the first film directed by Lord and Miller in 12 years, following their last completed film 22 Jump Street (2014) and their firing from Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). The film stars Ryan Gosling (who is also a producer on the film), Sandra Hüller, and Milana Vayntrub.
Project Hail Mary is scheduled to be released in the United States by Amazon MGM Studios on March 20, 2026.
It was announced at San Diego Comic Con that Daniel Pemberton would score the film. Pemberton previously worked with Lord and Miller on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. This is the first film Lord and Miller directed that was not scored by Mark Mothersbaugh.

The official trailer was released on June 30, 2025. On July 9, 2025, it was announced that the trailer had accumulated 400 million global views over social media sites in the first week of its release, making it the most viewed trailer for any movie that was not a sequel or remake.
Project Hail Mary is scheduled to be released on March 20, 2026 in the United States by Amazon MGM Studios, and internationally by Sony Pictures Releasing. The film will also be released in IMAX.
