The Guinness World Records world record for the largest gathering of people wearing tie dye is 454, achieved by Red Bank Catholic High School (USA) in Red Bank, New Jersey, USA, on 18 March 2015.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest tie dye measured 926.93 m (3,041 ft 1.44 in) long, and was created by Inez Harwood (USA), in Hayfork, California, USA, on 25 September 2013.

In paying homage to the school’s 1960s origins, students and staff spent late January and much of February gathering and making tie dye shirts.

More than 600 of the $5 shirts were conjured at the school, said Bishop Grandin vice principle Steve Laberge.
