Fledgling coffee maker Adam Lowiss says his new business venture, The Little Espresso Co, in Silver Street, Lincoln, has a customer area which measures just more than two metres square - setting the world record for the Smallest coffee shop.
The Guinness world record for the Largest simultaneous coffeee party was set by Macmillan Cancer Relief (UK); they broke their record of the previous year for the largest coffee morning with a total number of 576,157 people attending over 26,000 meetings simultaneously throughout the UK.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest collection of coffee pots, set by Markus Drexler (Germany), who has a collection of 18,179 different coffee pots.
Mr Lowiss, 28, bought the bijoux property, in which the customer area measures just more than two metres square, in December.
After several weeks of refurbishment, it opened for business in Silver Street, in January.
As well as a variety of coffee, Mr Lowiss, who lives in Horncastle, offers other drinks, sandwiches and snacks, reported 'This is Lincolnshire.'
"I have wanted to do something like this for a while now," continued Mr Lowiss.
The smallest pub is in Suffolk (The Nutshell in Bury St Edmunds) and that attracts people from all over the place – I would love something similar here." |
