401 Cedar Point's guests were able to bounce beach balls for 10 seconds to establish a world record for most people bouncing beach balls at the same time.

The Guinness world record for the most people keeping beach balls in the air is 401, achieved by Cedar Point (USA) in Sandusky, Ohio, USA.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most surfers riding a single surfboard: 47 people who simultaneously rode a scaled up surfboard measuring 12 m (39 ft 4 in) in length at Snapper Rocks, Queensland, Australia.

"It turned out fantastic," said Rebecca Baker, a marketing coordinator for the amusement park. "Everybody had a lot of fun."

Discount Drug Mart, Inc. supplied the beach balls for the world record attempt.

To qualify for the world record, Cedar Point had to have a minimum of 250 beach balls individually juggled for 10 seconds or longer.

In addition to setting the world record, the event also helped raise money for a good cause.

Participants could purchase discounted tickets to the park.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Northern Ohio Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
