Brian Dwyer,27, a professional collector of pizza memorabilia, has a collection of 561 pizza-related items - which sets the world record for the Largest collection of pizza memorabilia.
The Guinness world record for the largest pizza delivery was made by Papa John's who delivered 13,500 pizzas to the NASSCO Shipyard in San Diego, California, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest pizza; it measured 1,141.5 m (3,745 ft 0.85 in) and was created by Marquinetti (aka Jesús Marquina Cepeda) and the Asociación Española de Pizzeros Artesanos (both Spain) in Tomelloso, Spain.
Set to open its doors this summer in Philadelphia, Pizza Brain, the world's first pizza museum is the life's work of Brian Dwyer, a professional collector of pizza memorabilia.
"It's really funny that no one's done this before. There are already museums dedicated to a bunch of other foods: mustard, ramen noodles," he said.
"I guess the reason no one's opened a pizza museum before is that it's so obvious, so ubiquitous, that people don't think about it as the special thing that it is." |
