The Guinness World Records world record for the longest time heading a football between two people is 12 min 42 sec, and was achieved by Tomas Lundman and Valon Gashi (both Sweden) at Nordstan Shopping Mall, in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 24 November 2007.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest football mosaic is 247.5 m² (2,664.06 ft²) and was created by Standard Chartered Bank (UAE), in Dubai, UAE, on 27 November 2014.

“We knew we would break the record from our training,” the two Limassolian athletes, both teachers, said after the event, expressing the belief that they can do even better and set the bar even higher for next time.

They passed the ball for 13 minutes and 54 seconds before it touched the ground, beating the 12 minutes and 42 seconds Guinness world record by Swedes Tomas Lundman and Valon Gashi which the two had held since 2007.

The first record was achieved by the brothers in Limassol in 2014 and involved consecutively passing the ball 1,013 times.

The successful attempt took place as part of Limassol Municipality’s ‘Lemesia’ festival.

Dimos and Renos, who lives and works in Agrinion, Greece, had been preparing for the news attempt since the summer but, as brothers, have been heading balls to each other for almost as long as they can remember.
