The Guinness World Records world record for the longest conga on ice involved 353 participants and was achieved by Ice Rink Canary Wharf (UK) in association with Tresor Paris, in Canary Wharf, London, UK, on 12 November 2013. This event was in aid of the Children in Need charity.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest conga; it was the Miami Super Conga consisting of 119,986 people gathered in Miami, Florida, USA on 13 March 1988.

Five-hundred and ninety-three State University of New York at Oswego students laced up their ice skates to break the world record for the longest conga line on ice, The Watertown Daily Times reports.

The conga line started to form with specific instructions from the Guinness World Records representative. Students were required to do the appropriate footing and maintain hold of the waist of the person in front of them. Students were not allowed to grab onto the wall.

After five minutes of the conga line, the group gathered to learn the good news they beat the previous record-holders from the United Kingdom who had 353 skaters in 2013.
