Fastest 5K With a Dog

Waterdown, Ontario, Canada – March 29, 2017 – A human with surgically pointed ears named Jessey The Elf and a dog named Hunter Buxbaum completed a 5K together in 15:26, thus setting the new world record for the Fastest 5K with a dog.

The Guinness World Records world record for the fastest 100m in clogs is 14.43 seconds, achieved by Drew Mitchell (Australia), on the set of Sky Sports Rugby in Toulon, France on 3 March 2016.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the fastest 100 m paddled in a pumpkin; it is 2 min 0.3 sec and was achieved by Dmitri Galitzine (UK) at Trafalgar Wharf, Porchester, Hampshire, UK, on 23 May 2013.

Jessey The Elf was born 22 years ago as Ben Sayles in southern Ontario, Canada. He grew up as a talented multisport athlete, dabbling in soccer, hockey, and competitive diving, according to Runner’s World.

For the past seven years, Elf has established himself as a rising talent in southern Ontario’s triathlete scene. He discovered the sport at 15, when a high school friend dared him to compete in a race.

Since then, Elf has notched several podium and overall finishes in triathlons around Canada and the U.S. In 2016 he took 18th overall at the Canadian National Triathlon Championships. He trains with a club in Waterdown, Ontario, called the Fighting Koalas.
