Most Rubik’s cubes solved on a bicycle

Chennai, India – August 13, 2017 – P.K. Arumugam, from Chennai, cycled for six hours and seven minutes while solving the Rubik’s Cube 1,010 times, thus setting the new world record for the Most Rubik’s cubes solved on bicycle.

Arumugam, from Chennai, has smashed the Guinness World record for solving Rubik’s Cubes while cycling by managing 1,010 of the mind-bending puzzles while on two wheels; he cycled for six hours and seven minutes last weekend to beat the standing record of 751 cubes solved in seven hours, two minutes.

The Guinness World Records world record for the most Rubik’s cubes solved on a bicycle is 1010, achieved by Arumugam PK (India) in Tamil Nadu, India, on 4 June 2017.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the fastest time to solve 5 Rubik’s cubes (one hand); it is 1 min 23.93 sec and was achieved by Bhargav Narasimhan (India) in Chennai, India, on 1 March 2015.

P.K. Arumugam, from Chennai, cycled for six hours and seven minutes to beat the standing record of 751 cubes solved in seven hours, two minutes.

Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle , Arumugam said that he combined his passion for solving cubes and cycling six months ago and since then has been practising for three hours each day.

His parents were initially worried that he would lose focus in studies if he worked with the Rubik’s cube too much.

The previous world record was made by Sreevatesh Rajkumar in 2016.
