Largest Taffy: Annabelle Candy breaks Guinness World Records record

Hayward, California, USA – April 20, 2016 – Annabelle Candy Co. Inc, makers of Rocky Road, Big Hunk, Abba Zaba, Look!, and U-no candy bars, celebrates 65 years in the candy business by obtaining a World Record title; Annabelle Candy’s Abba Zaba Taffy came in at 237.68 kg (524lbs), setting the new world record for the Largest Taffy.

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest dessert party was attended by 1,010, people organized by Michigan State Fair (USA) in Novi, Michigan, USA, on 28 August 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest dessert decoration lesson; it consists of 1,401 participants and was achieved by the University of Antelope Valley (USA), at the California Poppy Festival in Lancaster, California, USA, on 27 April 2014.

This was the first time this record was attempted; Guinness World Records set the weight at 200 kg (440.93lbs). Annabelle Candy’s Abba Zaba Taffy came in at 237.68 kg (524lbs), setting a new record.

It took 20 employees 2 hours to construct the 1,000 foot candy masterpiece.
