Biggest bran flake

London, United Kingdom – February 18, 2017 – Steven Marriott, 44, have found the world’s biggest bran flake, which measures 14cm by 10cm (5.5in by 4in), when he opened the new box for his nine-year-old son, Oscar.

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest cereal breakfast was attended by 1,852 participants and was achived by Daher International Food Company/Poppins (Lebanon) at Jounieh Old Souk in Jounieh, Lebanon, on 2 October 2016.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest bowl of cereal; it weighed 1,000 kg (2204 lb 10 oz)and was made in a bowl measuring 2.6 m (8 ft 6 in) in diameter and 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) in height. The record was made by Kellogg’s South Africa, Sync Communications and Automatic in Johannesburg, South Africa on 2 July 2007. The cereal was Kellog’s cornflakes and the bowl weighed 259.5 kg (572 lb 1 oz).

The giant flake, which measures 14cm by 10cm (5.5in by 4in), eventually fell out of the box along with a small piece measuring 7cm by 4cm (2.7in by 1.5in).

Steven, who lives in West Bridgford, Nottingham, said: “I opened a new box and tipped it up and nothing was pouring out because of this massive bran flake.”

The IT manager, who lives with his wife Clare, 43, and their three children Ethan, 15, Elana, 13, and Oscar, added: “I thought it was interesting so I sent Kellogg’s a picture of it to show them.
