How to make green beer for Saint Patrick's Day?

Saint Patrick’s Day also known as St. Paddy’s Day or Paddy’s Day is an annual celebration of the patron saint of Ireland Saint Patrick.

Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17th and is considered a national holiday for the Irish. Celebrations include wearing anything green and consuming Irish beer.

Your Saint Patrick’s Day will be incomplete unless you are drinking green beer so below we are going to show you how to turn your average beer into a green festive Saint Patrick’s beer.

Turning a 12 oz beer green is rather simple; all you need is a lighter colored beer a 12 oz glass and green food coloring. Simply poor the beer into the glass and add one drop of green food coloring into the beer, stir the food coloring into the beer until you reach a nice green color. If you choose to use a darker colored beer you probably will not notice much of a change in color of the beer however you will notice a nice green head atop of the darker amber.

It is a little trickier to make green colored keg beer, however it can be done. To make green keg beer you must fill the kegs nozzle with green food coloring before you place the tap onto the keg. Then carefully place the nozzle onto the keg and the green food coloring should infuse into the beer. Be careful when tapping the keg because the green food coloring can spray out of the nozzle if you do not tap it quickly enough.

Have fun and good drinking!
