A jilted lover (Siddharth) tries to kill himself when the love of his life (Tamanna) spurns him for another. On being saved from this fatal error, he goes to New York for further studies and to forget all about her. But as fate has it, he meets her in New york and the two pair up yet again to rekindle the flames. Does the romance stand another chance?
This is one of the most popular love stories by the late author Sujatha. The characters Raghu(Siddarth Venugopal) & Madhumitha(Tamanna Bhatia) & their love story captured so many hearts that writer Sujatha who had initially finished the novel started the second part of it due to request by the readers. It deals with the life of Raghu who is motherless child but sees mother's affection in his father and grows into a quiet, sensible and a bit serious person frustrated to be unemployed, and then comes Madhumitha who is a naive, simple, bubbly and a bit childish character she plays childish pranks and brings a flash into his life, another flash comes in the form of Madhu's parents who accept Raghu and another when Raghu gets employed , every thing seems to go well but suddenly things change upside down due to Radha Krishnan a spoiled NRI boy and worst of all Madhu accepts with her parents opinion and marries Radha and leaves to the US, while Raghu attempts to suicide, but escapes it narrowly and from further encouragement from his father and friends leaves to US to study here comes Ratna(Rukmini Vijayakumar)into his life and as love slowly begins blossom, and then Raghu faces his ex-lover Madhumitha and discovers that her husband is a traitor to her and that she is unaware of it and so puts it to her but Madhumita's respect for her husband blindens her, but discovers it later when her husband in bed with another lady but this just makes her situation more critical, for she undergoes beastly torture and one day escapes from Radha and goes to meet Raghu, to her misfortune it turns out that Raghu gets engagement to Ratna the very same day, unable to take any more of depression ends up dead.
And while while receiving Madhu's corpse Radha tries to bluff to Madhu's parents, that he was perfect to her in every way, just then Raghu who had also come to see the proceedings gets enraged and charges at him with a revolver finds out that it is in fact locked and is later soothed by Ratna. The twists given by Sujatha at different circumstances makes the story of 'Pirivom, Sandhipom' which has now been made to the movie 'Ananda Thandavam'. |
