DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival in New Delhi you will be greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted to the hotel.

DAY 2: DELHI
After an easy morning, take a tour of Old Delhi in the afternoon. Among the highlights are the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the bustling Chandni Chowk bazaar.

DAY 3: DELHI SIGHTSEEING
In the morning, look around New Delhi, driving along Rajpath to view Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President of India's residence, and then on to India Gate. Follow this with a visit to Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar and the Birla Temple. The afternoon can be spent in leisure.

DAY 4: DELHI - RANTHAMBHORE
An early morning train from Delhi takes you through miles of verdant countryside to Ranthambhore, where the remains of a thousand-year-old fortress area now stands as a wildlife sanctuary. A good chance to catch a glimpse of leopards and tigers among the ruins. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: RANTHAMBHORE GAME RESERVE
Ranthambhore is one of the few reserves in India now where you are guaranteed a fair chance of spotting the elusive tiger by DAY. The safari through the reserve is thrilling, morning or evening.

DAY 6: RANTHAMBHORE - JAIPUR
After a morning safari, leave for the Pink City of Jaipur, an old city surrounded by a massive wall and magnificent gates. A tour around town takes you to Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, the City Palace famed for its ornate balconies, windows, cupolas, and arched entrances, and the ancient astronomical observatory Jantar Mantar built by Jai Singh. Overnight in your hotel.

DAY 7: AMBER FORT - KEOLADEO BIRD SANCTUARY
Feel a part of history as you ride ornately decorated elephants up to the mountain fortress-palace of Amber, a spectacular symbol of Rajput architecture with a complex of palaces, temples, and marble and mirror-inlaid halls and apartments. From here drive down to the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur, home to over 350 species of birds. A walk along the beautiful trails in the sanctuary is a truly rewarding experience. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8: BHARATPUR - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA
An early morning visit to the park for either a pedicab or a boat ride (water levels permitting), provides a unique opportunity to spot various species of birds, ducks, widgeons, herons and spoonbills. After lunch at the lodge, drive down to Agra, the last capital of the Mughal Empire in India. En route stop at the magical city of Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. In Agra, visit the fascinating 16th century Agra Fort, complete with battlements, apartments, gardens and halls of audience. Enjoy an unhurried visit to the spectacular Taj Mahal and stay to see this monument of love transform magically during sunset. Overnight in the hotel.

DAY 9: AGRA- JHANSI - KHAJURAHO
In the morning, take a train to Jhansi. From here, on the road to Khajuraho, stop at Orcha, a medieval township frozen in the 17th century. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 10: KHAJURAHO - BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, visit the Western and Eastern group of Temples of Khajuraho followed by a drive to Bandhavgarh National Park in Vindhyan Ranges. This is home to the white tiger apart from other wildlife like the Indian bison, sambar deer, barking deer and the blue bull. Spend two DAYs of exciting game viewing and bird watching here. Overnight at the Jungle resort.

DAY 11: BANDHAVGARH GAME VIEWING
Experience rich wildlife sights on morning and afternoon jungle safaris.

DAY 12: BANDHAVGARH - KANHA NATIONAL PARK
After a morning safari in Bandhavgarh, travel to Kanha, which boasts of around 22 species of mammals. The most commonly spotted include the langur, jackal, wild pig, spotted deer, swamp deer, sambar and black buck. You can also get to see the invincible tiger, the Indian hare, wild dog, barking deer, Indian fox, sloth bear, striped hyena, panther, mouse deer, Indian bison, jungle cat, four horned antelope, blue bull, ratel and Indian porcupine. Kanha also has some 200 species of birds. Spend two DAYs of guaranteed satisfaction here because Kanha never disappoints the wildlife buff. Overnight at the resort.

DAY 13: KANHA NATIONAL PARK
Morning and afternoon safari. Overnight at the resort.

DAY 14: KANHA - NAGPUR (255 KMS)
After the morning safari drive to Nagpur, India's geographical centre in the state of Maharashtra. Overnight in the hotel.

DAY 15: NAGPUR - MUMBAI
In the morning, fly to Mumbai where you are met with and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon tour the city whose highlights include the British-built arch Gateway of India, the Hanging Gardens, the Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive, and the Gandhi Memorial Museum.

DAY 16: ELEPHANTA CAVES
This morning take a cruise to the Elephanta Caves, famed for its carvings and sculptures dating back to 550 A.D. Spend an easy afternoon. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
