The national airline of Suriname is Surinam Airways. Surinam Airways was established in the year 1955. This airway started its first scheduled services between Paramaribo and Moengo. Domestic and regional scheduled services are functioned by Surinam Airways. Suriname government is the proprietor of this airway. METS N.V and Residence Inn N.V. are the partners of Surinam Airways. Surinamese Luchtvaart Maatschappij was set up on 30th August in the year 1962.
