Housecalls, the aptly named magazine for doctors, is brought out by Dr Reddy's Pharmaceuticals, Hyderabad. But this is not a boring magazine full of medical statistics. It has interesting sections on travel, fashion, dance, food, etc. Though officially launched on March-April 1999, it was brought out as a 24- page magazine a year earlier. The only magazine brought out by a pharma company, it is distributed free of cost to almost 20,000 doctors, though a susbcription list has been started recently. Ratna Rao Shekar conceived and launched this magazine.
