Basic Stuffing
If you are not the sort who has too much time on hands, a good basic stuffing is what you need. Here is a recipe for a quick and easy stuffing.

INGREDIENTS: -
½ cup of butter -
1 medium sized onion chopped -
2 celery stalks chopped -
6 garlic cloves well minced -
2 teaspoons salt -
1 teaspoon thyme -
1 teaspoon rosemary -
1 teaspoon sage -
1 teaspoon black pepper -
½ teaspoon savory -
1 tablespoon dried parsley -
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning -
8 cups of stale broken up bread -
3 cups of poultry stock PREPARATION: Take a large skillet and melt the butter in it. To this melted butter add all the ingredients except the bread and stock. Cook on medium heat keeping the pan covered till the onions are well cooked and soft. Remove the cooked mixture and add it to a mixing bowl, then add the bread and stock. Your stuffing is now ready, stuff it into a turkey sufficient for 8 people. |
