Argentina won the World Cup in Mexico 1986 and the Golden Shoe winner (top goalscorer) was Gary Linekar and the Golden Ball winner (best player) was Diego Maradona. That was in fact the tournament where Maradonna scored both his infamous 'Hand of God' goal as well as the goal that followed which was probably the greatest solo effort in footballing history.
