Pitampura is an affluent residential area of North Delhi, India.
Planned by the DDA, which forms North-West part of Delhi, it is an upscale residential, commercial and retail centre. The area is encompassed between Outer and Inner Ring Roads, NH1 and Rohtak Road.
It is connected with the northern grid for 24 hrs electricity supply as well as a dedicated water treatment plant in Alipur to provide for an undisturbed water supply. Its home to some of the richest business families of New Delhi and also home to many government servants from central administrative services. As many as three Delhi Metro Stations - Netaji Subhash Place, Kohat Enclave and Pitampura, cover this locality.
Over the years Pitampura has turned into one of the most expensive residential areas of delhi. It is very close to Rohini, Model Town, Punjabi Bagh, Ashok Vihar, Lawrence Road areas. Pitampura has many housing colonies like SD-Tower Apartments (known for the largest Super HIG flats by DDA and also for its nearness to Netaji Subhash district center and TV Tower), Vaishali (known for its greenery), Saraswati Vihar (the largest colony of Pitampura), Lok Vihar, Ajay Apartments, Apna Ghar Society, Bank Vihar, Kohat Enclave, Jhulelal Apartments, Engineers' Enclave, Harsh Vihar.
