A woman has said she cannot trust her husband after he failed to change his Facebook status from single to married.
A divorce petition was filed in an Aurangabad family court citing trust issues, Media reported on Friday. The 28-year-old woman says she cannot trust her husband as he did not update his relationship status on social networking website Facebook from single to married.
The couple had married two months ago. The husband for his part said he was too busy with post-marriage engagements with family and friends. He also said that he was did not get the time to check his Facebook account or change his relationship status. He manages furniture business that leaves little time for online social networking and was contemplating deleting his account, he added.
The family court has ordered the couple to go for a six-month counseling before deciding on the case.
Facebook is increasingly becoming one of the major reasons for breaking of marriages and relationships. According experts, one third of divorce petitions filed cited Facebook as one of the reasons. The social networking site is also being used as evidence in divorce cases. |
