Singapore’s Changi Airport once again gained first place in Skytrax’s World Airport Awards, held on March 23, 2010 in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the Passenger Terminal Expo. The results are based on 9.8 million completed surveys.

According to a report in tourism-review.com, Singapore’s Changi Airport boasts of the best facilities both in terms of leisure and comfort. Its importance on an international scale is high as Changi often serves not only as a final destination, but also as a transfer stop for passengers to and from Australia.

The Munich Airport emerged on top in Europe for providing comfort to passengers. Those involved in the survey said that it was a pleasure to shop in Munich Airport and the prices were not too expensive. However, the airport shopping heaven in Europe is in Heathrow. Furthermore, Kuala Lumpur was voted the best airport for immigration services.
