Rail Europe India to start support services centre in Mumbai for international markets

Rail Europe India Pvt. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of the European entity-Rail Europe, is looking at expanding its operations by starting support services centre for Rail Europe's international markets- Middle East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, African continent and some parts of South America. For the same, Rail Europe India is scouting for office space in Mumbai and is also recruiting professionals for this centre. The new support services centre will be level one of support services where all queries related to products, itineraries, system queries etc. will be addressed. Currently, all the queries for GSA agents in international markets are undertaken by the Paris office, however once the Mumbai centre starts operations, Paris will address level two queries.
Gopi Iengar, Executive Director, Rail Europe India Pvt. Ltd. said, "Setting up the support services centre in Mumbai is a part of our expansion strategy. As a fully owned subsidiary of Rail Europe, we can take up such roles. All support services for international markets will be conducted from Mumbai and the centre will look into back office operations and attending to queries of our GSA agents worldwide."
Rail Europe worldwide distributes tickets through its 150 GSAs on its rail GDS-Euronet. Apart from 150 GSAs, it has close to 800 Euronet locations (point of sales) where travelers can book and print tickets. Furthermore, Rail Europe will also open its seventh representation office in Dubai soon and bring on board non-European products like Rail Australia and Rocky Mountaineer products. Rail Europe website recently added non-European products like Japan Rail Pass, Korail and Via Rail in its inventory. |
