The Bihar pavilion at India International Trade Fair 2011 (IITF 2011) will showcase art and crafts and artefacts from this region starting from the Stone Age to modern Bihar.
The focus will be on giving a pride of the place to the elegant and memorable arts from the golden era of Mauryan period. A Mauryan period welcome arch will be erected at the entry gate of the Bihar pavilion, according to officer on special duty at BIADA, R C Roy. There will also be Stone era art images and also a sculpture of Lord Buddha carved out of stone. The concept of stone carving has been taken from the arts of the Stone Age, he said. |
