Bharat Rang national drama fest at Bhopal

Bharat Rang national festival will be organized at Bhopal by National School of Drama, New Delhi with the cooperation of Department of Culture, MP. The festival will be inaugurated at Ravindra Bhawan on January 12. Under the programme, from January 13, plays will be staged at Bharat Bhawan from 6 pm and 7.45 pm at Ravindra Bhawan.

On January 13, Bharat Katha Bahubhashi will be staged at Bharat Bhawan and English, Hindi and Bangla play 'Bhor' at Ravindra Bhawan.

On January 14 "La phela de shayo" (Bangla) will be played at Ravindra Bhawan, on January 15 'Spinal Cord (Malayalam) at Bharat Bhawan and 'Behad nafrat ke ye din (Hindustani) at Ravindra Bhawan, on January 16 'chanda mama door ke' (Hindi) will be staged at Bharat Bhawan and 'Media' (Kannad) at Ravindra Bhawan.

"Chronotopia" (dance drama) will be staged at Bharat Bhawan and 'Quick death' (English) at Ravindra Bhawan on January 17. On January 18, 'Ruddh Sangeet' (Bangla) and 'A doll's house' (Nepalese) at Bharat Bhawan will be staged at Ravindra Bhawan. On January 19, 'Umrao Jan' (Hindi) will be staged at Bharat Bhawan and 'When we dead awaken' (Manipuri) at Ravindra Bhawan and on January 20, Natya Naad will be staged at Bharat Bhawan and 'Democracies' (French) at Ravindra Bhawan.

On the occasion of New Year, an international drama festival is organized at Delhi by National School of Drama. This year, this festival is being held at Mandi House in New Dehli from January 6 to 22.

Global level drama troupes are staging plays at the festival. Troupes from China, Pakistan, Italy, Israel, Germany, Singapore, Nepal, Afghanistan and other countries are taking part in this festival. Some of these drama troupes will also stage their plays at Bhopal festival, as per the tradition of National School of Drama.
