An air taxi service connecting various Buddhist sites and other places of historical importance in Bihar will be launched soon. The state tourism department is likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pawan Hans to start helicopter service from early 2010. An official from the state tourism department said that Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Vaishali, Motihari, Bhagalpur and a few other places in Bihar attract foreign visitors, especially pilgrims from Japan, Indonesia and Thailand. The state has recorded 3.46 lakh foreign visitors this year so far. |
