Air taxi service connecting Buddhist sites in Bihar to be launched soon

An air taxi service connecting various Buddhist sites and other places of historical importance in Bihar will be launched soon. The state tourism department is likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pawan Hans to start helicopter service from early 2010. An official from the state tourism department said that Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Vaishali, Motihari, Bhagalpur and a few other places in Bihar attract foreign visitors, especially pilgrims from Japan, Indonesia and Thailand. The state has recorded 3.46 lakh foreign visitors this year so far.
