How many cars have you registered in your name? One, three, five, 1020 or 30? Hold on. You may not believe this, but it is true; at least, for now.

Authorities in Pakistan have found that a retired judge has as many as 2,224 cars registered in his name.

Yes, you read the figure right. Two thousand two hundred and twenty four cars registered in the name of a retired judge.

The judge is identified as Sikandar Hayat.

Interestingly, his counsel, Mian Zafar, has informed the Pakistan Supreme Court that Hayat owns only one car.

So what about the remaining 2,223 cars?

According to report in The Dawn, Zafar has said that a total of 2,224 cars were registered in the name of the judge.

The lawyer has claimed that a few days ago, Hayat received a challan for a car that was not owned by him. After this, he informed the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department about the matter.

But what surfaced from the department’s records was that Hayat is the registered owner of as many as 2,224 vehicles.

The Pakistan Supreme Court has now directed the department’s secretary and director to file a report in the matter within a week’s time.
