Born and brought up in an atmosphere reveling in music and rhythm, Mahua Mukherjee inherits the art of singing from her mother.Under the tutelage of the renowned artist Sri Shantanu Bhattachariyya and smt Girija Devi.The Indian Classical(Khayal and Thumri) were innately developed in Mahua, It is no wonder therefore that while successfully crossing the academic milestone one after other,being an post Graduate (1st class)Mahua Mukherjee has been winning the youth festivel at hyd(1999),behalf of Rabindra bharati University.
By now Mahua has already performed all over India viz DELHI (sri Aurobindo Ashram,Neheru children museum),HYDERABAD(suromandal, Faisal baba darbar, Nizam palace, iskcon), NAINATAL(shri Aurobindo Ashram, nainital town) and ALAHABAD,JAIPUR MAHARAJA PALACE, KOLKATA.She has also received the scholarship from Sri Aurobindo ashram,BONGIO SANSKRITI PARISHAD (hyd),GHANTASHALA GANA SABHA(hyd),
Mahua performed in various prestigious programmes including “Bharotio Nadonik Parishod” which is state government organizetion.Most notably, she is a regular performer of ALL INDIA RADIO.She got “sangeet pravakar” and “sangeet visharad” award from prachin kala Kendra.
Recently Mahua sing classical and light classical music for a
“RAINBOW GROUP” in Belgium.
Extra Curriculum:
Mahua is a very good musician also,she played acoustic Guitar, Synthesizer, Harmonium, and piano .She learnt western music. She has been playing Guitar in Iskcon temple since 2000. She played many times Fusion music with Rainbow Group. She has given duet programmes with many Artists. She has performed in many organizations, which are promoting World and Indian Classical Music.
She is associated with Swaranjali, Surnupur, Swar-Sringer. Recently She joined with a new group called "Music of India". She joined as a music teacher in ALL INDIA INTRIGATION CAMP at Nainital.
