March 26: Join this national festival of choreography with Ananda Basanta Samagame - a collage of dance sequences based on Tagore's songs and a contemporary choreography by Jhinuk Mukherjee. This will be followed by Chidabhas, a choreography in Bharatanatyam by Anita Mallick of Jodhpur Sanskriti Kendra, depicting the manifestation of supreme consciousness based on Tagore's philosophy.
March 27: Watch Kuchipudi recital choreographed by Amrita Lahiri and troupe, followed by Bhanu Bhane, Jaya Deva Hare, a choreography in Manipuri, based on Bhanu Singher Padabali - popularly known as Tagore's first poetical work on Radha and Krishna, by Sruti Bandopadhyay.
March 28: Enjoy this national festival of choreography with Tagore's Mahamanober Shagoro Tire (Indian Pilgrimage) in Odissi by Monalisa Ghosh of Kalajyoti, followed by Abhisaar, based on Tagore's poem and a Kathak ballet and folk dance idiom by Nupur Jhankar. |
