World Environment Day: Eco Festival 2011

On World Environment Day, the Kriti team in association with Alliance Française de Delhi celebrates its 3rd annual Eco Festival. The festival creates awareness around environment and the ecosystem with ecothematic workshops, ecoart'n'paper workshops, ecodance workshops; ecoreels (film shows), ecoinstallations, ecotalk and walk, ecocompetition, and ecoperformances with a combination of music, puppetry, dance and theater. Also relish a variety of organic food and drinks at the ecocafe, a selected organic food menu and drinks that are healthy and tasty for the palette (a mix of Indian and Western cuisine, salty and sweet) and shop at the ecohaat for handmade, recycled products, pick up community made, ecofriendly and useful tshirts, jewellery, bags, accessories, home decor items, toys, stationary, organic food and more. June 4, 11 am: EcoThematic Workshops: learn and create your own water filter. Learn about water and water pollution, enjoy drinking and using clean water! 1 pm: Eat, shop, relax, interact with Kriti Team at the EcoCafe and EcoHaat; 2:30-4:30 pm: EcoDance workshops facilitated by Shilpika Bordoloi and Kriti team volunteers; 6 pm: EcoDance Workshop 2. June 5, 11 am: Join in for a street play, music and dance on composting and the environment by young people (Manzil group); 2:30 pm: EcoArt Workshop 4, 'Frame a photo', make your own handmade, recycled paper products. This workshop will give you a variety of handmade recycled paper to make your own photo frames, wall hangings or stationery you can use; 3:30 - 5:30 pm: EcoReels, films on environment; 4:30-6 pm: EcoMusic and EcoArt workshops facilitated by Music Basti; dabble in pottery with Aparna Choudhary; EcoRhythms and performance by Dr Imam (vocals, acoustic guitar and blues harps), concert by Music Basti; Workshops are open to children from 4+ and adults, all age groups.
