A young woman is in a hurry to sell her flat. Another woman is interested in buying it. but is she really? A man is also interested in buying the flat. but he doesn't believe the flat belongs to the woman who's trying to sell it. So what's the game? who's lying? who's telling the truth? why? The Sale is an apparently non-political work by one of Spain's most prolific and well-known playwrights, Lluisa Cunille. It revolves around three characters brought together by their need for a place to call their own. Adrift in a world like islands in an ocean what they really seek is connection. The sale describes their desperate, absurdly comic and poignant attempts to connect with each other. The performance is adapted from the original Catalan into English and Hindi.
