The ex-CEO of erstwhile Air Sahara , UK Bose, is getting together with Manav Singh of Delhi-based fractional aircraft operator Club One Air to set up a non-scheduled domestic air service connecting cities to very small towns.

The airline, which sources said will be called Air Car, will operate small planes that can carry between four to 15 people. The company has already acquired two small planes and is seeking regulatory clearances from the states it plans to launch operations by the end of this year.
Singh confirmed that a project was on but said he could not share details at this point of time. Mr Bose did not take calls.

According to a source who did not wish to be named, the joint venture will acquire around 10 aircraft (10-15 seaters) for the business in the next one year.

The duo have already acquired two SR20 aircraft to kick start the operations , which will have close synergies with ClubOne Air, a fractional ownership service provider which has been around for the last four years.
