 Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is known for nursing some very rare animals and birds a few being close to extinction. Welcome to Dandeli Wildlife sanctuary! A place is picture perfect, with roaming valleys; sturdy mountains slopes and forests thick and deep draw nature lovers from far and wide. Some come here for calm and peace while some, for hardcore thrill and quest. The calm and peaceful sanctuary is reputed as the largest wildlife sanctuary in Karnataka. This is an unspoilt, untouched and unexplored treasure of wildlife that is sure to leave you spellbound. Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary abounds with a richness of flora and fauna. Its richness and diversity offers ample opportunities to nature lovers to enjoy the captivating landscape. The sanctuary is generally undulating with steep slopes with picturesque deep river valleys and rich hilly forest terrain. River kali and its tributaries, Kaneri and Nagajhari, meander through the forest. Sighting animals is difficult and always involves an element of luck.
Wildlife: Elephant, Gaur, Tiger, Panther, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Mouse Deer, Barking Deer, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Wild Dog, Mongoose, Porcupine, Jackal, Common langur, Golden Backed Woodpecker, Crested Serpent Eagle, White Breasted Kingfisher, Grey Hornbill, Great Pied Hornbill, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Crocodiles.
Adventure: Jungle Safari, Canoe Tours, Elephant Rides, Boat, Coracle Rides, White-Water Rafting, snorkeling, Parasailing, Trekking, Picnic Spots.
