Indian mobile phone maker Micromax has unveiled Android 4.0 powered Funbook tablet in Indian market. The company claims that the Funbook tablet will offer both education and entertainment contents in an affordable package.

The Micromax Funbook tablet is easy to hold with one hand for long hours and measures around 12.2 x 19.2 cm. The device will come in two variants Slate Grey and Midnight Black. The tablet will be developed at the Micromax manufacturing unit in Haridwar and will be available at retail stores with the price tag of Rs 6,499.

The Micromax Fubook is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 single core processor and runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. It features a 7 multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display that provides resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

The Micromax Funbook comes with 4 GB Internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB and 512 MB of RAM. The device has a 0.3 megapixel VGA front facing camera and a 2800 mAh battery. Along with the tablet the company offers a Tata Photon data card which can be used via the USB port for internal connections.
