Prakash Padukone
For a long time in India, the game of Badminton was synonymous with the name of Prakash Padukone. Born on June 10, 1955, it was Prakash Padukone who marked the presence of India on international badminton forum. He set a record by winning the National Senior Title consecutively for 9 years. He also won several other national and international accolades including the All England Championship and Danish open.

Pullela Gopichand
Pullela Gopichand is another ace Indian badminton player who immensely excelled on the international level. Born on November 16, 1973, Pullela made his mark at the national level in 1989 after winning the national championship in Goa. Under the guidance of his mentor, Prakash Padukone, Pullela emerged as one of the most successful Indian shuttler of all times. His popularity was immensely increased when he won the All England Championship. He is famous for achieving the highest level of success in International Badminton after the legendry Prakash Padukone. Barring Prakash, Gopichand has been the only Indian Badminton player to have won the prestigious All England Badminton Championship.

Aparna Popat
Aparna Popat is unarguably the finest women shuttler in Indian history. Aparna's little frame belies her giant-killing acts in national as well as international events. She was born in Mumbai on January 18, 1978 and marker her presence in the international badminton arena by winning women singles in French Open. She is considered to be one of the All Time Greatest female Badminton players India has ever produced. She holds a record for holding the National Senior Women’s Badminton title for maximum number of times consecutively

Anup Sridhar
Anup Sridhar is an Indian Badminton Player, and is considered to be one of the finest Badminton Players India has seen in recent times. Anup is also well known as the Captain of the Indian Badminton team for the Thomas Cup tournament.

Chetan Anand
Chetan Anand is an Indian Badminton Player, and is considered to be one of the finest Badminton Players the nation has ever produced. He has been one of the highest ranking Indian Players in the world, and has upset a number of top seeded players in various tournaments.

Jwala Gutta
Jwala Gutta is an Indian Badminton Player, and is considered to be one of the best Women’s Doubles Badminton Players India has ever seen. Partnering along with Shruti Kurien, she makes one of the most deadly Doubles pair on the Indian Badminton court.

Saina Nehwal
Saina Nehwal is one of the best known Indian Badminton players, and arguably the most promising female Indian Badminton player at the moment. Apart from upsetting some of the top seeded players in World Badminton, Saina has to her credit the achievement of being the first Indian woman to have entered the Quart Final round of Badminton event at the Olympic Games and the first Indian to win the World Junior Badminton Championships. Currently ranked number 3 in the world by Badminton World Federation. Saina Nehwal made history on June 21, 2009, becoming the first Indian to win a Super Series tournament, by clinching the Indonesia Open with a stunning victory over higher-ranked Chinese Lin Wang in Jakarta. (The Super Series tournament is roughly equivalent to a Grand Slam in tennis.) Saina won her second career Super Series title by winning the Singapore Open title on June 20, 2010. She completed a hat-trick in the same year by winning the Indonesian Open on June 27, 2010.
