The Players This is a game for one player.

The Deal  Nine cards are dealt out on the table in three rows of three. If any of these cards form a pair they are picked up and placed aside out of play.

If there are no pairs or spaces available the remaining cards of the deck are dealt on to the nine cards one at a time, starting at the top left hand corner and dealing across from left to right. This is repeated with the remaining two rows.

As soon as any card you have dealt forms a pair with any other card, the pair is removed from play.

You cannot at any time form a pair with another card, which is below the card you have dealt. It can only be paired with a card from another pile.

The Object  The Object of the game is to pair off the entire deck. You will often reach a stage where it is impossible to pair off any cards. When this happens, the deck is reshuffled and you start again.
