At Pen Expo, we are dedicated to building Penang as the venue for Meetings-Incentives-Conventions-Exhibitions (M.I.C.E.). To accomplish this, we provide event management services for a diversity of functions including seminars, conventions, expositions, exhibitions and private events. Using a team of talented marketing personnel and project supervisors, we will create an event that is assured of success.

Pen Expo Events relish challenges which is why we specialise in events that cater to niche markets. Such events involve meticulous preparation and bull’s-eye marketing strategies to draw in the intended prospects.

We have a young team of talents who discovers and supplies what the market needs. We then organise events that answer these needs such as devising the 4th Penang Career Expo and Kulim Career Expo 2007 to meet the rising number of job-seekers in the state.

Among the other projects we have supervised and organised are the UPR Xmas Street Party 2005 and the SMIDEC Northern Region Showcase 2006.

Event Management

• Regional Exposition for SMEs 2006
This event was managed by PenExpo and organised by Small Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC). It was held from 14th to 16th August 2006 at the Penang International Sports Arena (PISA). Approximately 5,000 visitors attended the 3-day exposition.

The purpose of the exposition was to promote SMEs as an integral part of the country’s industrial development. “SMEs:YOUR EFFECTIVE BUSINESS PARTNERS” was chosen as the theme to reinforce this strategy.

SMEs who manufactured parts, components and finished products were among the main exhibitors for the event.

The Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC) strives to create resilient and efficient Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) who are able to compete in a liberalised market environment. The corporation serves to promote the overall development of SMEs in the country.

• UPR Xmas Street Party 2005
The UPR Xmas Street Party was held from 14th to 18th December 2005 at Upper Penang Road, a prominent lifestyle venue in Penang. The event was attended by approximately 20,000 visitors during the five days. The Xmas Street Party was jointly organised by the UPR Promotional Committee and the Junior Chamber International Tanjung Bunga (JCI).

PenExpo managed the event on behalf of the UPR Promotional Committee. This would be the fourth consecutive year that PenExpo managed the UPR Christmas festival, beginning from 2002 to 2005.

The theme for the Xmas Street Party was “XMAS4U@UPR”. The purpose of the event was to initiate the spirit of festivity among the public through a variety of programmes and stalls.

Visitors to the party were greeted with game stalls, competitions, Christmas merchandise, 100 santas and santarinas giving out gifts to children, carolling, theatre and concert performances, and wushu demonstrations.
