Event Profile The AMITEC trade fair will be the most important specialist trade fair for vehicle components, workshop and service equipment in Germany and Central Europe in the first half of the year. With this positioning, Leipzig will become a central industry meeting-place for suppliers, buyers and other decision-makers along with users of products and services for maintenance, care, service and care of cars and commercial vehicles.
Over the past few years the attraction of AMITEC has continued to grow. AMITEC 2009 had a record number of 283 exhibitors and 50,000 trade visitors. Sixty per cent of trade visitors to the fair travelled from over 100 kilometers away and 49% even traveled from over 200 kilometers away. The share of foreign visitors was around 14 per cent, most of whom came from Poland, the Czech Republic and other Central and Eastern European countries.
Europe's unique alliance of the AMITEC trade fair with Auto Mobil International (AMI) and AMICOM, the new industry fair for entertainment, communication and navigation technology in motor vehicles, offers exhibitors and industry visitors a wide range of synergies without any extra effort. The joint holding of these fairs will help the exhibitors to canvass additional potential customers and will give visitors the opportunity to find out more about the complete industry offering under a single roof.
Some 600 exhibitors and – for the first time – over 300,000 visitors are expected at the combined fair. The entire modern Leipzig exhibition centre will be available to present new products and services and current product ranges. Special theme exhibitions, practical events for members of the trade and addresses and demonstrations of modern technology at numerous stands promise much added value.
