Alimentaria is the most important international food and beverages exhibition in Spain and one of the leading international events of this type. Its nineteenth edition will be held 26-29 March 2012 at Fira de Barcelona. The show will present the latest products from the international food and beverage industry, distribution channels and consumer tastes.
Alimentaria expects to bring together 5,000 leading food and beverage manufacturers and distributors, and anticipates that close to 150,000 professional buyers from more than 155 countries will attend. Once again, Alimentaria will be the international economic stage for the food and beverage industry and trade.
The event is committed to its successful and pioneering structure, which divides the exhibition space into sectors: 13 shows organised by product family. In addition, Alimentaria will once again offer an extensive programme of innovation- and research-related activities. 85% of the Spanish food and beverage industry is expected to attend the event, around 94,500 m2 dedicated to exhibition space and associated activities.
